About Dr. Reussner
Lee A. Reussner, MD and Director of the Kansas Voice Center, has been practicing otolaryngology head and neck surgery since 1994. He did his undergraduate coursework here in Lawrence at the University of Kansas, graduating with distinction. He went on to medical school, also at the University of Kansas, where he received his doctorate degree. Upon graduating from medical school, he completed a surgical internship and otolaryngology residency at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in New York. He also contributed to research related to parathyroid gland function from the University of Rochester and on cancer and diseases of the immune system from the University of Kansas. He has been board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and has been an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery since 1995. Dr. Reussner is the director of the Kansas Voice Center, specializing in the treatment of voice and throat disorders/diseases, including cancer and thyroid disease. He is able to offer the latest minimally invasive surgical approaches for parathyroid surgery as well. He previously served on the Board of Directors at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and teaches a course on American Healthcare at the University of Kansas. In addition to medicine, Dr. Reussner enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, traveling, music, woodworking and sports.
